About

First and foremost, I am a single mom to a beautiful little girl who is my world, and also the cause for much hilarity, angst, and love in my life. I don’t know what I would do without my little Munchkin.

I live with my saintly, honest, handsome, and loving boyfriend. He has taken everything I have thrown at him, including a child that is not his, and done so with grace, style, and I am very proud to call him all mine. For the purposes of this blog, I will refer to him as the Tall One, since he is 6 foot 7 inches tall. I love looking up to him in so many ways 😀

And I would be nothing without the love and support of my family. Particularly my mother and grandmother. They have gotten me through many a crisis, 9 years of college (undergrad and graduate degree), and now as we figure out life apart from each other (Munchkin and I moved in with the Tall One just a few months ago), we go through another trial and tribulation period. I love my family very much and will never be able to thank them for all that they have done. They are, also, a source of hilarity, angst, and love in my life.

Finally, I am an imperfect, loving, bumbling, trivia-fanatic, movie loving, book devouring, ADHD impaired, somewhat medicated, highly random, mostly motivated, procrastinating, and sometimes sensitive children’s librarian at a beautiful library in Syracuse, NY. I ADORE my job, my kids, my parents, and everything that comes with it. I am very lucky to have fallen into such a position at such an awesome place and every day I walk in these doors I am trying my hardest to prove that I belong here. I want to give back to this community as much as possible because our patrons are some of the best in the world!

I hope I can provide you with information, books, fun, and enjoyment on this blog. If nothing else, I hope you laugh. Because I have found that laughing is the greatest thing in the world!
